Oil on canvas, 14" x 11".
Colorful and serene are two adjectives that describe any landscapes with water and trees in the Ozarks in the fall. This one had interesting rocks and a brilliant blue sky!

Penny Debra Sisson Oil Painting Dachshund Dog Art Pet Portrait Double Dapple Doxie
Pencil on paper. 10" x 8".
Penny was a commissioned pencil portrait. I was told that Double Dapple Doxies often have a slightly deformed left eye. I learned something knew and really enjoyed drawing sweet Penny!

"Pink Peonies in Amber vase" 5x7 oil on board
"Pink Peonies in Amber Vase"
This is a painting I did a year ago. It is of an arrangement I
did with peonies in a rectangular
amber vase. The shape and color of this vase is unique. It has
a lid that is silver wire mesh to keep the
stems in order. I love using it for all different
small arrangements.
Cherry Tomato Basket Debra Sisson Oil Painting Vegetable Still Life Fall Garden
Oil on canvas, 10" x 8".
I gathered some of the last of my neighbors' cherry tomatoes in one of my little baskets. They just needed the right lighting to show themselves gathered together after they were picked. The basket's shadow made a lovely pattern on the table.

Grey Pony Debra Sisson Oil Painting Welsh Pet Art Western Horse Ride Saddle
Oil on Canvas, 8" x 10" x 3/4".
I admired the lovely markings and friendly face of this pony who was doing her duty giving kids a ride at a festival. She was decked out in a bright purple halter, lead rope and saddle blanket. She also had some blonde and rusty shades mixed in with the grey hairs of her thick mane which I tried to capture faithfully. I guess just because I found them attractive!
The 3/4" sides are painted so framing is optional!

Cherries and Light Oil Still Life Painting Organic Fruit Kitchen Art
Oil on canvas hardboard, 6" x 8"
I used only a few ingredients in making this painting - bright sunlight, a white bowl and a few cherries. The shapes of the cherries' shadows became another visual ingredient to be enjoyed too. The dark red cherries glow a brighter red in the light and colors bounce around in the mix with the bowl. I like to bake tasty things, but painting the ingredients is more fun and rewarding. And the result lasts longer.

"Taxi Please II" 11x14 oil on canvas by Leslie Newman
Taxi Please II
This painting is second in a series. I plan on adding a few more City Traffic
paintings. We lived 45 minutes from NYC
prior to moving to NW Arkansas. I miss spending
time in the city very much.
I hope you enjoy my NYC taxi's!
This painting hangs in a private office in Fayetteville
